Case Study: Efectiveness of Administration of Carrot Juice and Green Tea on Reducing Pain Levels in Adolescents Experienced With Dysminorhea

Introduction: The effects of not treating dysmenorrhea properly can have serious consequences for young women. Menstrual pain should not be left without treatment, because there could be symptoms of endometriosis which makes it difficult for women to get pregnant. Proper treatment of dysmenorrhea can reduce the risk of endometriosis, disrupting work and study activities.
Methods: This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. This activity is carried out on young women who experience dysmenorrhoea. In this study, the sample consisted of 2 people, where 1 sample used the carrot juice consumption intervention and 1 sample used green tea.
Results: By giving carrot juice, it was found that during the 3 day intervention there was a decrease in pain levels, namely on the 1st day the pain scale was 6, on the 2nd day the pain scale was 4, on the 3rd day the pain scale was 2 and on the 4th day the pain scale was 0. By administering green tea, it was found that during the 3 day intervention there was a decrease in pain levels, namely on day 1 the pain scale was 7, on day 2 the pain scale was 3, on the 3rd day the pain scale was 1 and on the 4th day the pain scale was 0.
Conclusion: Based on the results of these two observations, it is known that the two respondents had a good influence in reducing the level of menstrual pain, however, if we look at the fastest level of reduction, the consumption of drinking green tea was more effective in reducing the level of dysmenorrhea pain.
