Strategy for Optimizing Geriatri Services at Dr Hafiz Hospital (RSDH) Cianjur

Abstract

Introduction: RSDH Cianjur has opened a simple-level integrated geriatric service since March 2023, but it still needs to be optimized as there is only one patient served at the clinic. The purpose of this research is to design a strategy for optimizing Geriatric services at RSDH Cianjur.

Methods: The research was conducted December 2023 - January 2024, using a qualitative case study design. The sampling technique is purposive sampling with informants who understand the geriatri service business process at RSDH. Data analysis using SWOT methods with IFE, EFE and QSPM matrices.

Results: This research has produced 5 alternative strategies such as improving promotional activities and cooperation with insurance and corporations, activating home care services, activation of the separation of geriatric services, review clinical pathway of Geriatric diseases as an attempt to control quality and cost and finally socialize the guidelines and SOP of geriatic services to all doctors and nurses.

Conclusion: Increased promotional activities and cooperation on the part of insurers and companies are strategies chosen from the five alternative strategies agreed.
