Introduction: A sufficient number of nursing human resources can optimize the implementation of health services in hospitals. The aim of this research is to calculate the number and mental workload of nurses and the possibility of implementation for RSDH Cianjur in the BPJS era.
Methods: This research used to calculate the need for nurses is WISN, Gillies, PPNI, Ilyas, which is then compared with the number of nurses currently available. Population of 23 nurses, sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data was obtained through work sampling observations and analyzed using WISN, while to calculate mental workload using the NASA TLX questionnaire.
Results: The findings of this research show that 3 of the 4 calculation methods have a shortage of human resources, the WISN and Ilyas calculation methods are in accordance with the current number of HR at RSDH Cianjur. The mental workload of nurses at NS 3 Utama RSDH is high, namely 81.8%.
Conclusion: Hospitals should create policies for nurse work rotation so that nursing services continue to be provided optimally.
