Introduction: Accuracy in planning, selection, management and development of human resources is the key to a hospital's success in being able to develop. The aim of this research is to develop a strategy for planning the need for nursing staff in the outpatient installation of Dr. Hospital. Hafiz (RSDH) Cianjur
Methods: The research used was qualitative with a case study design. Qualitative data was obtained from observation and interviews. The research was carried out in November - January 2023. The informants in this research were the nurse manager, head of the room and executive nurse. Data analysis uses the SWOT method with the IFE, EFE and QSPM matrices.
Results: This research found 5 strategies, namely increasing the number of nursing staff, dividing the workload of relevant nurses, improving coordination with specialist doctors regarding doctor's practice schedules related to the length of waiting time for calls, equal distribution of human resource development and efficiency of polyclinic placement.
Conclusion: Optimizing the placement of outpatient clinics was the strategy chosen from 5 agreed alternative strategy.
