Abstract

Introduction: Introduction: Infection prevention and control programs are efforts made to prevent and protect clients (patients) and staff against infections occurring in the hospital environment or referred to as Health Care Associated Infections (HAI's), the aim of this research is to create a behavioral strategy for implementing prevention and infection control (PPI) at Dr. Hafiz (RSDH) Cianjur.
Methods: This research is qualitative research with a case study design. Qualitative data was obtained through direct observation and interviews regarding hospital policies, supporting facilities and infrastructure, supervision carried out on the implementation of the PPI program and reporting of infection incidents (surveillance) carried out. The analysis design used in this research consists of 3 (three) stages, namely the Input Stage, this stage consists of IFE and EFE, the Matching Stage, this stage is made with a SWOT analysis, the Decesion Stage, this stage is made with a QSPM analysis
Results: Based on the IE matrix, the position of the behavior of implementing infection prevention and control programs is in cell IV, which shows that the behavior of implementing infection prevention and control programs is at the growth and development stage. This means that the behavior of implementing the infection prevention and control program can still be maximized so that it can develop the best service
Conclusion: Based on the results of the analysis of the Behavioral Strategy for Implementing the Infection Prevention and Control Program (PPI) at Dr. Hospital. Hafiz (RSDH) Cianjur can be optimized with the following 4 strategies: Increasing the implementation of infection prevention service standards in accordance with SOPs, Increasing support from directors and hospital management, Evaluation of infection prevention cases and cases resulting from infection, Providing digital-based.
